Argyle Legends
Enjoy a fabulous one-off evening event here at the Heritage Centre in West Looe. Three Argyle Greats with over 1360 league games between them and many stories to tell!

Memories of Looe - FREE EVENT
Looe’s Silver Sunday free event will be co-hosted by Looe Museum and Looe Harbour Heritage Centre as part of this national day of events. The Heritage Centre’s Coffee shop will be be open from 10am - 1pm for tea, coffee and refreshments.
Our Silver Sunday event is full of heritage and interactive elements for all to enjoy:
10-30am – 11.15am:
An illustrated and light- hearted Talk given by Vicki Baldwin about Looe’s history, seen through her collection of archive postcards of Looe.
11.15am – 12 noon:
Enjoy a cup of tea whilst we set up a rolling slideshow of the Museum’s Raddy collection photos - which will be projected onto our big screen.
Our volunteers will circulate collecting memories from those who wish to take part by video and voice recordings. We are hoping to capture stories of * Childhood in Looe* and * Changes in Buildings along the Quayside * and we will also be talking about the Moor to Sea project.
12noon – 12.30pm: A sing song led by Petra Stephenson. Song sheets will be provided!
Entrance is free for all. Just come along on the day!
About Silver Sunday
Initially launched as a local campaign to tackle loneliness and isolation, Silver Sunday is now a national day where people of all generations can come together by hosting fun and free activities for older people.
It is a day where older people can meet new people, visit new places, try new activities and connect with their local communities and the generations around them.

A History of Looe Island: Talk with Mark Camp
Mark Camp looks at what we know about the island from prehistory up until now. Much of it is factual, some of it is open to interpretation! As an added interest, the talk includes photographs from the Atkins sisters personal collection that have never been seen by the public.

Do you want to get away for a bit for the fun and bustle of the music venues? We provide the perfect answer… Visit the Heritage Centre for some time to reset and to see and hear about the heritage stories of Looe.
We’ve created a quiet and comfortable zone for feeding babies, with a view of Looe River. Lots of activities for kids too!
Baby Changing facilities are available in our friendly Coffee Shop.

Join us for a session bursting with activities led by the RNLI Looe and Heritage Centre Team. Water Safety, Rescue videos, Splatt the Seagull, Dressing Up, Colouring in – there’s something for all the family to enjoy. You’ll be learning important stuff while you’re having fun!
Suggested Donation: £15 (max 5 people per family)

7 Wonders of the Seal World: Talk with Robert Wells
Join us as Rob Wells from Cornwall Seal Group gives a fascinating insight into the world of Seals.
There’ll also be a showing of the Group’s ‘Septimus the Seal’ film, all about his adventures around St. Austell Bay - plus special mentions of our Looe Seals’ and their journeys in and around Looe Island.
